Our man James tyin' one on
|
Name: James Bailey
City: Billings, MT
Occupation: Student
Started fly fishing: I started fly fishing when I was
about 6 or 7. My dad gave me an old fly rod that he made when
he was in high school. I didn't catch a whole lot back then, but
I always had fun.
Best day: My dad and I took a trip to the upper portion
of the West Fork of the Stillwater. The trout were biting everything
we threw at them: hoppers, stimulators, humpys…everything. The
smallest trout we caught that day was a mere 12".
Favorite lake, river, or salt fishing spot: The Yellowstone
and its tributaries. I also enjoy fishing the Beartooth waters.
Trip of a lifetime: A week long expedition of the waters
in and around Yellowstone National Park: Yellowstone, Madison,
Gallatin, Firehole, Lamar Rivers, Slough Creek, Soda Butte Creek.
