Started fly fishing: I was living in Seattle, Wa and was
really into gear fishing for salmon. I found myself going to lighter
and lighter lines and rods. After I started fishing a 10 foot
4-6 lb test rod, my buddy said "What's next fly fishing?" I had
a rod in my hand within two weeks and the journey began...
Best day: I was on my first saltwater trip in Loreto, Mexico.
I was there with one thing on my mind - BIG DORADO! I was sharing
a boat with Corey Shueffle and the famous Francisco of Baja Big
Fish Company. Francisco lived up to his legend and one hour into
our first morning we hooked into a big school of Doarado. The
next two hours were crazy! We boated around 20 Dorado. I've had
a lot of exciting days since, but that's a day I'll never forget!

Favorite lake, river, or salt fishing spot: There's just
something about the Skagit River...
Trip of a lifetime: My heart is set on the big browns of
New Zealand! I once saw a video of a helicopter guiding company
called Distant Waters. That's a trip I'm working on earning right
now...
