Mr. Miller workin' in the Steel Mine
|
Name: Matt Miller
City: North Bend, WA
Occupation: Sales Rep
Started fly fishing: Seems like I have always been fishing.
I started throwing flies in high school with my dad's old fly
rod. So began the addiction.
I spent three summers in Alaska guiding for salmon and trout on
the Talachulitna River, and now that I have moved back to Washington,
I try to put in as much time on the water as my wife and job will
allow.
Best day: Best day huh? Definitely the Grande Ronde where
I was introduced to Steelhead on the fly. And watching my wife
land a 35-pound. King on a fly in Alaska. And college road trips
to the Missouri and Smith Rivers in Montana. Okay, so that's more
than one, but there's just too many for one favorite.
Favorite lake, river, or salt fishing spot: Yeah, right. If I told you I'd have to kill you. But to be fair - the Northwest rocks, so pick any stretch of water up here and I'll be happy.
Trip of a lifetime: Kamchatka for bows, Labrador for
brookies, permit and tarpon in the Bahamas...there will hopefully
be many trips in this lifetime.
