Sinjin getting his breathe on...
|
Name: Sinjin Eberle
City: Denver, CO
Occupation: Research Analyst
Why I fly fish: I believe that there is no better activity
to be truly immersed in nature than fly fishing. You can hike
THROUGH a forest, you can climb OVER a rock, you can ride a trail,
but to truly be immersed in the natural world, it is hard to argue
with standing in a stream coaxing a wild trout with a fly you
tied on your own from natural materials.
Best day: 65 degree sunny day, nowhere near the closest
road, with a friend or two quietly casting...and breathing the
life of the stream.
Favorite lake, river, or salt fishing spot: Hermosa Creek,
Colorado
Trip of a lifetime: Backpacking in to the high Rockies,
getting far away from roads, airplanes, cell phones, technology.
Finding that little stream where native fish have existed for
generations and have not been impacted by mining, ATVs, logging,
pollution. A place that you know is pure, where the fish are pure
and the water is clean. A place where you can be part of the surroundings,
not just a casual visitor. A place that takes effort to find and
discover, instead of driving to and simply appearing. A place
that matters.
